What's the point of having a beast of a PC and getting a 20" screen?
It's not as if everything all the sudden becomes bad graphics when you have a smaller screen ;) IMO 20" is huge - more than enough! I've used 15" TFT's and 16.5" viewable CRT's up until now and I have 2x 19" TFTs, but I only game on one and I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything! I've played on a 22" at my mates, and tbh it's not like a huge difference to me. I didn't get an "I want one!" feeling.

Ofc, given the choice, I'd have a bigger monitor. But if I were spending money, I'd spend less on a smaller one than more on a bigger one.

Again, it's just my opinion. And it's probably not a popular one ;)

Right now I'm on a 17" Dell LCD monitor. It does me well enough. A lot of it depends on how far away you are from the screen.

As long as I can play most games at 1280x1024 with atleast 2x AA I'm happy enough. If I had the choice though I'd like a 20" but my poor 7600GT would struggle at much over 1280 ;)

I usually am about 2 feet from the monitor screen so even a 17" fills my view nicely enough. Anything bigger then a 20" in my current environment would just be too big tbh. I like being able to take in the full screen with a quick glance.

I like your spec mgriffo. Let us know how the cooling goes. I want to see if it's as good a cooler as the scythe ninja specced above. I'm a bit sick of the noise my akasa 955 makes. That'll teach me for buying a cooler in a high street shop.

Listen to your missus, anything bigger than a 20" monitor wouldn't have gone down well.......

baseball bat on the monitor sounds about right!
