I'm really enjoying Borderlands, but...

Mordecai was a great character to play as, espicially towards the latter part of the game once you got all the skills going. deadly accurate with sniper rifles. and getting multi instant kills with the hawk when enermies got close, though i must admit for the first part of the game i didnt use sniper weapons too much - stuck with shotguns and the odd rifle
 
I play as Mordecai > sniper build.

A sniper rifle (probably a Vladov) with 88% accuracy is about as much use as a big wooden club. You can only damage an enemy by hitting him with it!

Get a rifle with 94% or better accuracy, and you'll start hitting things better. If you can find something with 98% accuracy, keep a hold of it ;)

Also, try resetting your stats and spend your levelling skills on increasing sniper rifle accuracy - IIRC you can get an extra 20% more accuracy from there.
 
Just bought the GOTY edition and waiting on it downloading, was tempted by this but it's taken me a while to need another good shooter :) I don't mind the graphics, seem quite fitting and i'm always more interested in fun and gameplay :)
 
I bought it recently, having a great time but haven't found any suitable coop games yet (it's all high level games which just mean I get minced by the first enemy I see), I'm level 17 at the moment.

yes, get yourself a 1000 damage Pearl cyclops with a 3.2 zoom, that'll do the trick ;)

Sniper is my fave too. Love the pistols as well, nothing like a good hand cannon ("Anaconda" : Long and Strong!). Problem is the ammo.
