I got an unconditional offer from Edinburgh to do archeology! I've been checking nearly every day just to make sure i didn't miss the update on my UCAS page. Glasgow got back to me in early January with two unconditionals but i was holding out for Edinburgh.
Now it's finally happened i wasn't sure how i felt. I know i'm super happy now it's starting to sink in.
Anyone else heard from Edinburgh?

What Uni is it in Edinburgh?

I haven't heard back from mine yet? But that is because of different problems which I made a thread about a while back.

That's great news Blackstar :)

I guess you'll probably be visiting a lot of old roman ruins in the next couple of years ;)

Edinburgh Uni lol.
Don't worry about not hearing back i'm sure you will soon, good luck :)

I hate work & learning someone else's point of view, but Archeology is the only field I would sell my soul again for. Well done mate & good luck with it:):)

Archeology sounds very interesting but spending X hours a day in a pit with a toothbrush doesn't sound like my idea of fun.* :p

*Stands to be corrected.

Congratulations :)

Do you know which period you want to specialise in yet?

I think i'll go buy myself one of those waxy hats like they wear on time team. Nix i can't think of anything better than being able to uncover the way people used to live hundreds of years ago and find out how they went about their daily lives.

Each to their own.

I think piecing together the evidence is probably more fun than uncovering it myself though.

Now, uncovering the pyramids... that's what archeology is about :p
Digging a hole in some English farm in rain... urm, rather not ;)

What part are you more interested in?

I'm not sure what i'm most interested in i'm guessing it will probably be Scottish history. I get the chance to go abroad as part of the course for a practical year i'm just so excited! wooo :D

Just caught this, i'll see you there then (unconditional too  ). You got accomodation sorted yet? I've been done, ready and waiting for a reply since the 7th Feb :o.
