I went for a 9070XT rather than pay the nvidia tax for a decent amount of VRAM. I was happy enough with the 3080 performance, it was a great card, just severely hampered by the 10GB VRAM. If it had 16GB or more I'd likely still have it.Just wondered what other peoples upgrade plans were thats still on a 3080? I'm tempted by the 5080 super (depending on specs and price)
Did you notice much of a difference going to the 9070xt? I tried to get one at launch and didn't...think im just going to wait now until new cards come out.I went for a 9070XT rather than pay the nvidia tax for a decent amount of VRAM. And this is the 12gb version. Add another 5-10% on top of the 9070 Xt and sometimes even more when the 10GB is crippled
Not specifically, but I feel like im always playing games at the standard settings or dropping them down a bit, I would like to be able to turn up graphics setting and still run at a decent fps etcis the 3080 struggling to do anything?
yea mine is the 10gb 3080 FEAnd this is the 12gb version. Add another 5-10% on top of the 9070 Xt and sometimes even more when the 10GB is crippled

Not really, but then I really only play Apex Legends which will run on a potato. I have Indians Jones and the great circle, Cyberpunk and Horison Zero Dawn to try. I did some benchmarks before I swapped, let me see if I can find the thread. https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...080-to-asrock-rx9070xt-steel-legend.19000303/Did you notice much of a difference going to the 9070xt? about 980 - 1.2k ish I think, some of the leaks are suggesting the 5080 supers might be the same price, but again its just leaksPrices of Nvidia is insane, how many thousands is the 5080??
Id hold off for the 5070 Ti Super if I’m honest.. if it launches same price as the current Ti it might be a compelling option with more VRAMyea mine is the 10gb 3080 FE
How long's the wait for a Super?Just wondered what other peoples upgrade plans were thats still on a 3080? I'm tempted by the 5080 super (depending on specs and price)
I did exactly this and would also still be on the 3080 if it had extra vram. I moved to playing at 4k so really felt the lack of vram.I went for a 9070XT rather than pay the nvidia tax for a decent amount of VRAM.
