I have a backup PC with a Pentium G4560 and Radeon 550 2Gb 64-bit that I got just for the monitor outputs.
Main PC is Asus Z490 ITX, 10900K and GTX 1080 Ti.
Both work fine as they are, the 1080 Ti works when put into the Pentium and I've already benched it as such to the max for fun / science.
But the Radeon 550 wont output to any monitors when put on my Z490 board. I think I've read its because high end boards generally dont work well with GPUs that get all their power from the PCI-E lane, and the 550 doesnt use any power connectors.
I';m not sure if theres any bios settings I'm supposed to tweak as I can't find what would be relevant.
I wanted to bench my 10900K with the Radeon 550 purely for fun and science as well, but it wont work.
