I'm wondering

Your definitely on your own with that statement.

You must be the only one on these forums. :D

I'm not a fan of Lian Li cases either. Wont say I dislike all of their cases, but generally they do nothing for me. Never really been sure why everyone gets so giddy over them. As the OP sorta said, they do look a bit, what's the word, simplistic, no, basic, no, um, dated or old school might be more like what I'm trying to say. They just seem like big clunky blocks of metal.

To be honest I'm quite picky about cases. I do quite like the HAF cases, but other than those nothing much springs to mind as a case I'd like to buy.
For water-cooling I quite like the Silverstone TJ07 and the Corsair 700D, but mostly because I believe they're easy to build water cooling into. I guess there are some Lian Li cases like that too but one of those would be a last resort if I was doing water-cooling and couldn't find either o the prvious too.

Another air cooling case that doesn't look bad (imo) is the Silverstone FT02, but I'm not sure I like the interior concept.

What does everyone see in the Lian Li cases?

its a great design, look at some reviews etc, love it to bits and the ft02b. i have the sg07 myself. with silverstone cases it feels like everything has been put there for a reason, in my itx case its amazing what you can fit inside it. same goes for the raven.

I can't stand those lian cases either, as has been said, they just look plain and same as something that you can get for a few pounds

I like the had series, but then I love black and red

I can highly recommend the Phantom excellent case, plenty of room, good cooling with fan controller and cable management just what you want from a case
