Just noticed that apple are selling imacs with both a ssd and a standard hard drive. Is it possible to buy an imac with just the standard hard drive and add an ssd yourself? Do you void the warranty if you do?

Yes it is, but only the ones from apple have the cables and tray for it in place. There are plenty of people who have done it though.

It will not void your warranty as long as you don't damage anything else in the process.
