imac i5 or i7.

Hi guys im new to imac and im wanting to buy the 27 inch
imac i5 or i7.
i play wow mainly and use internet and maybe some different games.
should i got for the i7 or i5 imac.
the i7 is £170.00 more. please help. thx in response.

How much do you want to save £170? The i7 is obviously better but if the most intensive stuff you're doing is playing a few middle of the road games then I doubt you'd notice much difference between the two.

i have decided to go with a i5 but it comes with a 2.8 i5 cpu
and a ati 5750gpu. would buying a older imac 27 i5 2.66 cpu and a ato 4850gpu be faster@ gaming. ty for the response.

I'd go with the 5750 because the card is better (CPU difference is negligible). However if the older iMac is a lot cheaper then it won't necessarily be a bad buy.

AH well thats changed my mind. i read somewhere that the
ati 5750 1gb card is much slower than the ati 4850 512 meg.
ill have another dig around and thx for the quick reply

From the benchies I've seen the 5750 is better, and these days I'd want 1GB over 512MB RAM if I could help it.

But all means have a look around yourself as I don't have a bleeding edge knowledge of graphics cards.
