I'm getting a new iMac and have a quick question...
you can get the top one for £1799 and what it has over the next one down is, well, not a lot...
i think i'd get the 2.93Ghz one, stick with the 640GB HDD and just upgrade the graphics to the best one - so the only performance difference will be 0.13GHz which i'm quite sure make sod all difference in the real world - my question is whether this chip is actually from the same range or whether its a better chip as i know these days its not all about clock speeds?
if it is identical apart from 0.13GHz then i think i'd be mad to spend an extra £100... are there any other hidden advantages to the 3.06 model?
