Imac to Macbook Air?

Actually now I have everything set up on the desk, the mat I have is perfect size still, just its a bit tatty looking on the edges now.

Im loving my MacBook. Its so much neater looking.

Hopefully get my mx3s mouse later today.

Does the hot corner put display to sleep eventually put the system into sleep as well?

Or do I need to click Apple> Sleep or close the display.

Sometimes I may go away for an hour and not worry about closing the display and just use a hot corner, but if it doesn't actually sleep system after a a few minutes as well I will use the other methods.

Good thread this as I am almost thinking the same thing but I can't really stretch past the base Macbook Air model (256GB/8GB).

I read in reviews that 8GB is fine for nearly everything on macOS because of the new M processors but it would be nice to hear from real world users. I think the most strenuous thing I will be wanting to do is maybe some editing of 4K video from my iPhone (non Pro-res) and I would also like to try my hand at learning Swift.

I was going for the air until I realised I could get a one off 15% staff discount so went for the 14" Pro, I always upgrade the ram, I went for 16gb in my iMac late 2013, it also had an SSD, the MacBook Pro compared to it is a Lot more snappy though. The only thing Im getting used to is the smaller screen.
Other than that everything about it feels and looks better, better performance, more sleek, less wires. I did away with network cable, and just use wifi now, no printer cable, that's on wifi as well now.

What do you all use to clean your MacBook displays?

on my iMac I used some lcd/plasma screen spray from OCUK that was good, but don't fancy using that on my MacBook due to keyboard being close to screen.

It never gets dirty. I don't touch it (I never touch any computer screen) so all that happens is that it gets a bit dusty from time to time.

I use a lint free microfibre cloth with an absolute tiny splash of water to just dampen it. Nothing more, no chemicals, no cleaners, nothing.

Cool, I think I will use one of them silky glasses cloths dampened when needed then. Thanks
