Went ahead and bought myself the 21.5" for £869, because of student discount and I don't really care much for the ivy bridge and what not!

I'm just wondering, how good/bad the Apple delivery service is? Ordered it on Saturday, said exp delivery date was tuesday 17th? will arrive on that day or what?

Anyone ordered a lot of apple products or used UPS a lot and have experience with them or?

Also, what are their delivery times? I was hoping to get it early, but, I guess any time will do.

I've only ordered small items (accessories) and not anything screen / system size, but it has always arrived quick, 1-2 days, so it will very likely appear on Tuesday.

Time-wise on the day will depend on the courier and route / depot distance unless you go for a premium option, so opinions on that will vary from person to person.

The courier I believe is going to be UPS, I have never used these guys before, I've always used either DPD or Royal Mail/Parcel Force.

I hope it arrives early in the morning or before 12, I have Uni all week :(

I am really disappointed, EXTREMELY disappointed, I checked my status of my Apple product to see this:

Why is there no "time" that it's going to come? Like DPD provides?
I've got classes on tuesday and I can't really afford to wait in all day long for a package that is going to come, granted it's an amazing package that I am waiting for but regardless, :/... still.

Sigh, is there any way for me to find out a more specific time frame?

Thanks.

Have you checked the tracking number on the UPS site, sometimes it says it should arrive before whatever time.

I am surprised you are "really disappointed, EXTREMELY disappointed". You knew you had uni but ordered it anyway. Most places don't give you a specific time unless you pay extra for that service.

Yes, I've checked UPS and there is nothing different there from the Apple website/tracking information.

You're surprised? Why are you surprised? I need the Mac for my Projects, I've got to start it now or I'm going to fall behind for my 3rd year, It's a 12 month project. :s.

I'm a little confused here, what are you getting at? but I would have gone for the "express" service or w/e apple provides, but the representative didn't offer me that option.

ALSO!

One more thing, I got that told that because I'm a student and what not, I'll be getting 3 years of the warranty, but I checked my serial number and I only have 1? what gives, should I call them up and ask why?

Edit:

UPS INFORMATION:

A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated.

Dude calm down, you took the FREE delivery, therefore they'll deliver it when they want. Not having an iMac doesn't mean you can't do any work, go the library today get some books out to read tomorrow while you wait.

My MBP under HE discount also said one year, when it came to the end of that year it updated to another 2 years limited warranty.
Keep copies of your e-mail receipt safe incase.

I am calm lol, I'm not raging at the keyboards here, lmao! I'm just a little upset that I have to stay at home, not knowing what time the iMac will come when I could be finishing work with coursemates at Uni and doing my project! lol.

I've read everything required, I need to get it underway really, ah well! Nevermind, I'll just see what happens via: UPS website.

Thanks anyway.

Hey guys, was wondering if someone else could help me here, it'd be a great help if someone could shed some knowledge on this as I've never used UPS before.

Scheduled Delivery:
Tuesday, 04/17/2012, By End of Day
Last Location:
Tamworth, United Kingdom, Monday, 04/16/2012

"End of day", does that then mean that my expected delivery will be more so in the afternoon as opposed to in the morning?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

:)

Bloody hellfire, it arrives at some point on TUESDAY. Probably any time from 8am to 7pm. It said that at the beginning of your order and still says it now. What don't you understand? If it doesn't give you a time slot then you won't, I won't, we as a group will not know what time.

Im guessing "End of day" is put in as default for any cheapskate.....I mean non-timed service.

I think UPS deliver between 9-6.

My ipad were delivered at 2pm at work, my iMac was 11am at home. It all depends on the route and where you are on that route.

Lol calm down you idiot, I'm asking for simple advice from similiar experiences from others, like previously stated, I have not used UPS before so therefore, if you can not express your opinion in a non-rude manner, then don't bother.

Please grow up a little bit, you immature child.

And thanks for the helpful information guys.
+ I decided that I needed more power, lol.

And cheapskate? lol, wow! I thought this forum was filled more of a mature audience, clearly I WAS mistaken.

Yeah it will vary,in my area UPS man comes usually comes in the afternoon,as someone else said above depending on route and i suppose how many parcels they have to deliver.
At least you will have a nice shiny imac(at some point tomorrow!!)

Not trying to offend, but you were the one that is asking for advice on a delivery service. "End of day" is pretty self explanatory.

Depends how far from the depot you are, what route the driver has etc etc.

I've ordered several Macs from Apple and UPS, I've had it come at 9am and once at 6pm (or later I think) so really depends on the day. I've never had a missed delivery though, if they say Tuesday, it will come Tuesday, you will just have to wait around or get someone round your house all day to wait.

I get my Mum round my house if no one is in, she don't mind, she watches Netflix on my PS3 then :)
