I wish to extract all the images within a set of folders/subfolders into one place, renaming them if nessecary.

The images are stored as follows:

Folder --> Image folders (100's) --> Subfolder (1/2 per image folder) --> Images (approx 13 per folder)

Is there anything that can do this??

open the root folder in explorer. type

*.jpg

in the search box in the top right (assuming you're using vista/7). highlight all results and copy/paste into new folder. you'll get prompted to rename files if there are any conflicts.

Problem is there is 20Gb of images (average 250kb) in thousands of folders and all the images will be names the same, 0001.jpg, 0002.jpg etc.

This is why im after somthing automated, i dont care what they end up being called, just need them in 1 place.

when i said you'd get prompted, that only happens once.

copy.png

tick the box and select the 3rd option. job done.

nope - hence the comment in brackets in my original reply. :p
