Image Manipulation

Not really. The graphics card's only purpose is for 3D games (eg. applications running on a 3d engine). Anything in windows will be 2d. That means images, video etc. No 3d calculations need to be performed on video editing software, the card is doing the same amount of work as just watching it in media player for example.

I suppose you could get away without overclocking. With the cooler it's a saving of no more than 50 quid.

Thanks, i pretty much knew what kind of system a photographer would need, but wasent to sure about the Graphics side of things.

Some people i know said that i would need a good graphics card?

Video Editing is different though right? :)

Nope, a budget videocard will be the same as a top end model for video editting. Unless you're capturing, and the more expensive card has hardware video encoding acceleration.

Basically all PS and video editting is all CPU work.

Is 430 Enough for a E6600?

That Graphics Card ok along with that 20inc monitor?

Almost certainly.

I run an X24400 and a 6800GT with multiple HDD's and other things on my 430W Antec. People seem to go dolally when PSU decisions come around and choose massive ones that arent needed.

I would definitly go for one of the two I suggested rather than the one you have down. :)

Have a look at this forum if your not convinced. :)
