Image resolution

Hi, newbie here

I have creator studio for its image and video functions. I have tried to increase the resolution of an image by opening in Pixelmator pro, selecting Image>Super Resolution. It crunches the numbers, but I see no increase in sharpness etc... What am I doing wrong?

Chances are you’re already over res and scaling down to fit on the screen.

Thanks for the reply but the image was one taken on an old iPhone in relatively dim lighting

Increasing resolution isn't going to suddenly make it sharper if the original picture is relatively poor to start with, there’s only so much AI upscaling can do...

Ah - SuperRes is good but it won't fix that for you.
