Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

These keyboards are hilarious. I'm looking at them thinking, is mine just massive or am I stupid. Then I looked at my keyboard....it's literally huge! And here I am wondering why there's no space on my desk.

Having said that, it's incredibly comfortable and I love the media controls at the top. Aside from the that, I could probably ditch this.

I take it not all of these keyboards are incredibly noisy?

Pic for context! It's not dirty, just old, promise!

I'm with you, i have some crappy HP keyboard and mouse!

Having a discussion about different type of keys seems crazy to me!

I recently bought the Logitech G915 TKL, it’s a beautiful keyboard. I’d hope so for the price but it’s lovely to work on.

I also got one of the wireless numpads as I work in accounting but it’s easy to throw in the drawer.

Is there a mechanical keyboard that isn't an inch off of the surface? I guess that is my issue with a lot of the 65% ones is that they still need a wrist rest to be usable IMHO. The G915 mentioned above looks like it fits the bill bit blimey, it is expensive!

Me too, but I'm being drawn in. I assumed these fancy keyboards were super loud, but Lie is saying his has silent keys?!
You can YouTube the different switches. Some are mega loud and others are whisper quiet.

I was so close to buying this keyboard, but it missed the mark in a couple areas. Not white, gamer font, only cherry reds and almost zero options in terms of custom keycaps thanks to the 5.5u space bar. I really did want wireless, but decided if I get a custom black sleeved cable it will blend nicely with my mouse mat.

So I went with the Durgod Hades68, it came yesteerday. Aluminium base, PBT keycaps with clean font, Gateron silent browns and white.

Custom black cable is on it's way.

This keyboard looks absolutely amazing, the only thing we all of these custom boards and TKL designs is none of them have a proper UK return key, I really struggle with that tiny return key, otherwise I'd snap one of these up in an instant.

Also interested in the answer. I like how my keyboard is lifted off the desk.

They aren't as quiet as a membrane keyboard. Silent browns are decent.

gateron browns

The Gateron browns are pretty good, but the silent browns feel so good to type on. I'm not a fan of linear switches, so reds aren't for me.

They aren't silent (you can google people doing sound samples), but they are dampened better the normal browns.

I did consider the G195 TKL, but those cheap ABS keycaps were a non-starter for me.

Keychron K3 Ultra-slim Wireless Mechanical Keyboard

I've adapted to using ANSI layout, no issues anymore.

Sorry, should have clarified - it was they keyboards wireless connectivity which I took issue with based on the reviews, a lot of those keyboards had sketchy wireless connection and came with Gateron browns, not a knock on the switches themselves! My first mechanical keyboard back in ~2012 was a SteelSeries 6GV2 (can tell I like minamalist right?) and that had Chery MX Blacks, so I've just got used to non-silent linear switches to clack away on. The Gateron silent browns are remarkably quiet based on this video!

That looks familiar ;)

Great keyboard!

I still remember the days when i used to just buy the cheapest beige keyboard i could find It cost something like £5 :D

I still don't notice that much difference between using them £5 keyboards and the £100+ ones i use now like my G910 :o

A keyboard is just a keyboard they do exactly the same thing :p

You wash your mouth out with soap. Then again I'm a big hipster and use a HHKB pro for extra nerd points.

How people can say all keyboards are the same is beyond me. Madness!

I want to try out the Keychron K3 as I prefer low profile keys like my Apple Keyboard.
