Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Seeing as it's Trainer day I thought I'd add a couple of recent purchases. Both are own brand Herring Split, apparently made in the Carlos Santos factory. I first got the brown version and a different white trainer to replace my very, very tired Stan Smiths. But I was so impressed with them that I swapped them for a white/cream version of the Split instead. I might swap the cream laces for a brighter white lace rather than the cream ones.

Went to have a look (potentially buy)....

£185! WOW.

My new pair of Jordan Delta's turned up today. :)

A change from the VaporMax trainers I've been wearing for the past few years.

@khemist I'd send that back seriously. As a sump guard it's meant to withstand impact, the weld bang in the centre isn't finished properly it'll just crack through there. As an ex tig welder with FAA and CAA certs that's pretty shoddy.

Sorry

Could probably have finished it neater, but structurally it's fine, the guard would have caved in well before that weld gives way. Being a sump guard, best to not get precious over how it looks anyway, it will pick up plenty of battle scars...

TheseToe

Barely anything!

They are mounted by magnets
That magnet is stuck to a piece of special paper
That piece of paper is stuck to the wall

I'd be concerned about the adhesive of the paper tearing my wallpaper if I ever wanted to remove it. Although, I've never tested just heating adhesives with a hair dryer before removal.

If I was to mount one of these, it'd be on a slanted ceiling/wall, so it'd need to hold up to gravity wanting to pull it down at a 45-degree angle instead of just straight down.

The angle would be fine! Not sure about the wallpaper!

From a structural point of view the weld looks properly terminated to me. What would you like it to look like?

Did you need to use the dongle? My xbox series x pad seems to work wirelessly just fine (Save for the rubbish battery life) I may copy you and get around to downloading the game. 3840x1600 is lovely isn't it

You can use Bluetooth but that's not as reliable as wireless.

Ahhh, I may look into grabbing one. I only really tend to use my controller a few times a year but I've been using it wired mostly at the moment as the batteries died and I'm too lazy to buy new ones. Irony being I bought this one to replace my old xbox one controller as I wanted to use it wirelessly!

The USB ports in the bottom of our screen makes it a bit easier to just stick a cable in

Let me know how you get on with Fallen Order on this monitor. I'm blown away how much better playing on this monitor vs 27" is.

Yeah I went from a 27" PG278Q Swift to this one. I think I had the same issue as you as I wasn't sure what to upgrade to before getting the AW monitor but I was considering to for the LG CX48 but I'm so glad I went for this instead

I really need to try more games to push the 3090 and this monitor to its limits as I've only really been playing Modern Warfare. It's my day off today though so I may kick off downloading JFO whilst we walk to dog at lunch
