Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Nice :) you you have a 10gbit switch?

Yep, I have a Netgear XS508M and a 64tb Qnap TVS-872XT. I work from them, so need the speed!

I might end up buying another of these cards if it's good. My iMac has 10gbe built in, so that's sorted, but on my desktop PC I'm using a spare Thunderbolt 3 to 10gb adaptor I had kicking around. Be good to free up that TB port

IIRC you've been posting progress pics on this setup, yes? I think I recall you putting up that fitted cupboard, looks like some kind of BILLY?

May be talking out of my ass though lol.

Yes it's a Billy with a pair of Oxberg doors, "built in" to the recess with some Etsy handles and some rubber wood worktop offcut for the lid / shelf :)

That's looking really tidy, nice job. The long handles look really nice. They were on Etsy?

Did you fill in the gap at the top (where the sides of the BILLY go a few mm above the top shelf) or did you just sit the rubberwood offcut on top of it and job done?

Initially (after cutting it to shape) I just sat or on, but the door did catch slightly, so I cut a 3mm MDF patress just to lift it slightly and fitted it between the Billy and rubber wood.

There is a few mm gap, which I may get round to filling at some point, but is barely noticeable

Just paid the final invoice on an apartment refurb. I did post some pics 5 months ago at the start with everything arriving, there was a healthy 'bath' discussion.

Never seen it other than photos to date, but hoping perhaps in September to finally move in, replace the curtains, add furniture and colour... Replaced, refloored and repainted everything but the boiler (and the lovely curtains).

Managed entirely remotely from start to finish, has taken a year of paperwork, permissions, demolition and rebuild. For people wanting scale, the main room is about 8.5m x 8m, and the open wall of the kitchen is 3.6m. It used to be a separate room.

Looking really smart but how did you get around the building regs of having a minimum of two doors between a kitchen and toilet space?

[Edit] Saw your location, not in the UK - nevermind :D

Thanks :). The apartment is in the UK, but there are 2 doors between the kitchen and toilet space. You have to walk about 8 meters or so to get to either.

FYI, the two door rule is no longer a thing.

I never quite get the whole curved wall thing in houses/flats. It looks great at first, but i feel it'd be a real pain with wall units etc!

Ah that explains why a new build near me had open plan kitchen/lounge with the toilet door in the same room. Was being nosey online and thought 'how did they get around that'. Still wouldn't want it personally, that particular layout feels very 'audible' if you know what I mean.
