Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

I wince at the amount I've spent on mountaineering kit, then it always ends up with holes in from thrutching up rock or catching something on an icescrew etc.
Means you're getting your money's worth! You don't want it pristine, it's be like buying a sports car and leaving it in the garage.

Kinda regretting wearing my decent stuff dry-tooling yesterday, so much filth, grubby tools over the shoulder. The wall named Mount Chossmore lives up to its name :D

And then I go do something stupid like leave my climbing shoes at the bottom of the crag for someone to steal. :(
I put toughtags on all my stuff...although not my shoes, admittedly. I'm pretty good at not leaving stuff though.

On the subject of jackets, had my eye on this for a while and treated myself for me birthday. Mountain Equipment Squall. I've got a Rab windproof but their gear is just never as good, materials are decent but always get the impression no-one actually uses them properly. The Rab Borealis hood doesn't go over a helmet and isn't trim enough around the waist to go over a harness comfortably.

The ME has a slimmer cut so is super-comfortable under harness, no folds. Hood goes over a helmet nicely. Has adjustable cuffs, an offset zip. Just all round better.

You obviously don’t require one. Hill walking/mountaineering it’s essential for a decent jackets.

Decent gore tex jacket will be >£300 and a down jacket >£200 that’s £500 right away and they aren’t going to last a life time, they’ll last a hell of an amount of time and they’ll get more expensive. You can get a decent synthetic filled jacket that’ll be shower proof but you always want to have your outershell with you in case the heavens do open!

Canada Goose since it got bought over it changed to a fashion brand - hence all the people getting robbed for them because of the price that shot up with it.

I always find it quite amusing when I see someone in a C.G jacket with >625 filled down casually walking down the street to the pub they must be boiling, things are designed for -20°C not a general autumn day.

Ill be honest, I have my Rab jackets for my hiking trips. The Canada goose coat was bought purely for a nice going out jacket. But ive wanted one for a good 10yrs, but never really been able to justify it until now.

Yeh, I use them as well, they're a great buy, and likewise, the only things that aren't tagged are my shoes. They also make it easy to identify whose gear is whose at the end of the day if you all have different colours.

Realistic? Don't know what you're on about. Where are all the potholes?
Good point!
I did get another game recently too, Callisto protocol, it was not a great launch for this game, stuttering all over but they fixed it the next day and now some CPU optimisation patching needs to be done, but otherwise I have enjoyed it so far, the cinematic quality to parts of it are outstanding:

The outside drain that my kitchen sink, dishwasher and washing machine empties into is well and truly blocked, so..
mate I have the same issue... I'm trying one of those bendy ******** that was 30quid and arrives today... see if it works! If not, I'll borrow a pressure washer and one of the ones you got!

I've never drank a cup of Bovril but I am curious. I do drink the remainder of my KFC gravy when I have one so I don' think it would be a huge leap.
Okay but now imagine you are thirsty one day and just order the gravy to drink

Chicken bovril was far better, but its not made here anymore despite the desperate attempts of many people to convince the makers to start again.

Quite a decent sized fat-berg removed so far (the rest of stuff in the pic is also fat), but unfortunately it's still blocked despite all 15 M of hose going down the drain, so I may have to attack it from the septic tank end instead.
There was a piece of glass in the drain which nearly took the end of my finger off, so I'll have to resume fat busting duties tomorrow.
Fwiw I try not to put fat/oil down the drain, so I'm guessing that's a culmination of many many years of the previous owners doing exactly that.

Ohhhhhhhhhh it looks so satisfying - I had a thing about unblocking toilets etc in a previous job, loved it! Drain addict on YouTube is ace!
