Damnit, I need to stop reading this thread. It just makes me spend money! Last time it was a Pixel 9 Pro Fold, now it's that Mountain Equipment jacket. In fairness, I have a Sprayway Gortex water proof but I was soaked last time I wore it - pretty sure it wasn't that long ago it was re-proofed either.

Any reason you went Intel and not AMD?

I don't care that this chip might be slower than that chip under xyz circumstances. 265K tops the charts in media encoding and in my experience their hardware AV1 encoding in their Arc GPUs is superior to AMDs.

x670 and x870 itx boards are well over £100 more than z890i and 9900X is about £50 more for similar encoding performance.... and I got Assassins Creed Shadows free with it.
