Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

Built a new PC with the fabled Silverstone FLP01. Retro but up to date. 9800X3D, 5080 etc. I wanted to AIO the CPU and knew it woudn't fit inside so fans on the outside, just like in the old days!

Gives it a janky look, not for everyone but I love it.

I bought a wheel balancing stand - delivered for twenty two quid!!! It's 3mm steel, has a bubble level with 4 levelling feet, is square enough, has 4 sealed bearings for the aluminium rod to sit on, with two aluminium axel cones. £22!!

Where do you live? I predict some playdates. I'll bring @bloodiedathame and @Hades and we can fix bikes and drink tea, like blokes.

Bought a knife from Aliexpress, they're usually rubbish but this one looked promising.

It's not perfect, but for £32 it's very good.

Is that a Twemco clock you have there?

Yup!

(I even went to their factory to find this one...not the nicest of buildings....especially if you mistaken the floor numbers and gone to the floor under their's....it looks like a horror movie, with an equally scary toilet as you walk by, like out of Silent Hill...)

They sell them in bottles....I would bring back a crate but my luggage was 21.5kg :p

(It's a sports drink creates by a Japanese pharmaceutical company. The story is that a Japanese went to Central America decades ago and saw local doctors there treating dehydrated patients with IV fluids and when he returned they basically formulated this drink, it is essentially very similar to Gatorade but this is created by a doctor. I think the idea is it replaces sweat, hence the name).

It tastes really good actually, so I just got the powder. .
Pocari Sweat has legendary status between me and a group of mates as it saved us from many hangovers when on a trip to South East Asia a few years back

I still always buy a bottle if I spot it when in Asian supermarkets :D

Why is it so porous? That's the last thing you want with a kitchen knife.

It's not porous, metal won't soak anything up and they're less than a mm deep.

It's called a Nashiji finish, it's only at the top of the blade and provides some extra grip when you use the pinch grip (which you should). It also helps stop food from sticking.

Tsuchime is a similar hammered finish but much more pronounced, if you look at my other knives the Kanetsune, third in from the right has a hammered finish. I've had that knife 18 years...

Needs the appropriately stained keyboard and CRT monitor too, for that full authentic 90s look :D

May I suggest either a Unicomp (they took over the tooling of the old IBM Model M buckling spring keyboards) or a Realforce Topre. I can't give links due to "competitors".

I have a beige Realforce Topre and it's a wonderful thing.
