Beautiful guitar, Raymond. Hopefully it's functional and not just the most flamboyant one that you could find

Quick tip - remember that you can move up and down strings. So you were playing E string third fret (G) then 5th (A) then 7th (B). You can move up a string so 3rd fret on E, then open A strong, then 2nd fret A, which is the B

It is a beautiful guitar, such a lovely instrument to behold and I've been playing Rocksmith last night until my fingers hurt before I put it down

Haha brilliant, you'll get used to it, don't worry! In one of your poss you said you were playing 3rd 5th and 7th fret and moving fast was difficult - change strings

Oh, it was just one of the basic lessons in the game that talks about moving your hand up and down the fret. I guess you are right that you can hit the same note on different string but the exercise was moving the hand and get used to the fret board.

I mean before yesterday i didn't notice that's what the dots on the side meant and the double dot is 12th fret.

Lol, erm...i think i know what that means...or i don't. The lessons hasn't got to that bit.

Is its a bit like the middle C on the piano or the E at the start of each octave on the keys?

I've only played about 2 hours but so far it is really good, only tried the lessons section so far and it is like a really patience teacher in my living room, since it knows when i am doing badly and adjust the difficulty to suit on the fly.

see that's where the first one went wrong. it would show you something then you do it then just move on even if you didn't do it right.

This one won't let you move on until you got it 100% right...REALLY annoying but damn useful. Unless you go to the menu and exit the lesson totally.
