Looks very nice the mrk....is good down this way.

Have not venturred into deepest, darkest Kernow for some astrrophotography as yet, but the skies do get very dark. You will just have to crross your fingers that the skies are clear for the visit. Hasn't been to bad over last couple of days (bar moon being stupid silly bright) but on general it is mostly cloudy and grey and wet down in these here parts.

You going to be doing just widefield imaging or do you have a scope that you will be using for some DSO imaging?

Yeah the super/harvest moon is over now so the skies should return to being dark although ambient light pollution isn’t a problem as I will just ETTR as I did down here recently:

The weather forecast looks ok apart from the chance of rain on Tuesday but as we all know forecasts cannot be relied upon so some playing by ear will be done I guess

I won't be doing any scope imaging as I don't have the motorised pods or relevant gear for that, just wide angle shots or the landscape and stars I guess and anything else the opportunity may provide

If he had any worry of the item selling way below its value then he should have set a reserve. I'm very surprised he actually went through with it though - don't know how many times the seller has pulled the auction because it did not end with a satisfactory price for them.

Just wanted to get some thoughts on this.

Not sure if I'm just being a big girl but I'm struggling to sleep lay in bed feeling guilty and feeling like I should make a gesture of good will or something. Again I might just be extra hormonal today or something.

I won an auction on eBay fair and square. It literally went for peanuts compared to what it's worth. I could sell tomorrow for £2500-£3000 all day long, won auction for about £1000.

Seller unluckily timed his auction to end half way through Englands match, which is the only reason I can think of for lack of bids. Heck my max bid was £2000 and I would have been happy there.

Quite frankly when I went to pick up the guy looked gutted, but was honest and a gentleman enough to honour sale even though he had been messaged after auction end with people saying they missed auction and would offer so much more but he refused and honoured the sale.

I don't know I'll probably just sell it on given what I got it for would rather have the profit, would av kept it if it was closer to my max bid.

What do you guys think, an I being a big wet blouse or do you think I should kick the guy some extra dough if I sell?

Personally id kick back a fair bit. It can have a surprising effect on some people. I've done it many times and frankly when all has said and done it hasn't hurt me.
