Will do! I only got the idea as a 'how to make a knife' video was recommended on Youtube and 30 mins later I ordered that kit. I want to get into bushcraft and carving, so seems like a good first project and will come in handy.

Still need to get some slow cure epoxy, sanding belts and some nice walnut scales for the handle.

Brilliant, thanks! I too am getting into a bit of carpentry and stuff. I've been making display stands for my antique edged weapons as I couldn't find any simple ones online that weren't meant for rubbish fake katanas. I've found them to be quite easy as so now I'm wondering about furthering my experiences!

Just checking these out, did you read reviews about this, comes absolute bottom of some sites, couldnt believe the price

I read plenty of reviews of loads of models, there are bad reviews for all models out there.

Also, are you sure it's the dr3500-fhd and not the dr350 models that you were reading about? I actually bought the lowest spec model as I didn't want all the bells and whistles, just a well mounted/packaged and with a proper capacitor based power supply.

The mounting is superb, no movement or knocking noises and the quality looks great. I posted a sample in the dash cam thread.

It was from a UK supplier and has support, so it's worth it in my view. All the cheaper ones seem to insist on having a screen and batteries, which make them less than ideal. The mounts also make them harder to mount tidily.

Overall, I'm pretty impressed so far, as you can tell

No it came with the Shark skin leather strap. The bracelet was destined to be released at a later date and has only just come out.
