It's not horses for course at all, £4500 for a lego set would be absolutely ridiculous but it seems fairly obvious he didn't pay that for it - he didn't buy it from that Amazon seller he bought it somewhere else.

Somebody has just posted a link to a seller offering it at bonkers money for no apparent reason.

The RRP was £350.

My point being, don't mock someone else for buying things that they like, especially when you spend a lot of money buying niche products yourself.

A mate of mine is well into Star Wars lego but after getting married soon he has decided to sell all his kit. He told me how much he'd spent on the stuff and I thought he was mad... until he showed me how much it was now worth!!!

If someone has the money and they know the kits to buy, it is a fantastic investment!!

£4k for one kit though.... WOW. My mate is selling the exact same kit for half that!

People thought it was stupid for plastic tat at £350 or £700 or £1000. I have seen them go for stupid amounts. It's not like he will lose money on it, until the release a new one.....
Disagree, if you get the right limited edition kits, the real fans/collectors will want the first editions and the prices will only be greater than the original outlay.

Another nice pedal Raymond!
