I can almost match that!

Omeprazole
Paroxetine
Mometazone
Clarithromycin
Naproxen
Diclofenac

All the princely sum of £0 (free prescriptions for all over here!)

If you have IBS shouldn't you be getting prescriptions for it for free as it's a pretty much lifelong condition?

IBS isn't one of the conditions. I have Crohn's Disease, which is similar, and lifelong, and chronic, but I don't get anything free any more.

Thats ridiculous mate :(

Crohns can be that excruciating can put you out of action completely.
My little brother grew up with it pretty much in agony every day :(

Did he :( I hope he's doing well now, the treatment appears to have improved a lot over the years.

Mine is well under control. I changed my diet at some point while I was at uni, and gave up smoking (mostly), and just got massively better. I barely take any medication for it now.

I was with my mum at the hospital recently for her chemo, and she was telling this nurse that I had Crohn's. When she said it, the nurse looked me up and down...I'm overweight! Probably very rare in a Crohn's patient hah.

Bought the new Garmin 3598LMT-D to replace my old Tomtom XL Live. Would have had to pay £120 for all the nescessary updates to my old Tomtom and would still have been left with an old, slow device, whereas I managed to get this for £180 brand new on ebay including lifetime map and traffic updates.

Very pleased with it: it's miles quicker and higher quality than my old one, although the large, multiple wires are annoying, as is the fact the mount won't stick to anything but glass.

What screen size version did you get? Looks like the 5" one. I'm considering buying one of these shortly as my TomTom map subscription expires soon anyway and I feel like a change.

Yep, it's the 5" one. Pretty much the perfect size I'd say: any bigger and it would start obscuring your view, any smaller and the text would be difficult to read. I tried quite a few before buying and this was the only one that I could get on with.

Cheers for posting that!

Just checked them out and seem to get rave reviews. They are on sale too at the rainforest, so I asked if I can put one through on work expenses as I travel overseas a lot, so just ordered the 9000mah one. :)

You more than welcome, glad to be of service. For the price they currently are on the rainforest it was rude not to get one really.

Cheers for the heads up with the prescription advice, wasn't aware of the quarterly option. The doctors think it could be either IBS/Crohn's/ulcerative collitus so this is the first batch of what I presume will be many in the future!

Huzzar for lifelong illness, at least the bird in the Chemist was fit.

I'm sorry to hear that. If it is Crohn's, please don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk. It certainly can be tough at the beginning. It gets a lot easier once the medication kicks in, though :)

Ah good to hear mate :)
Horrible disease.
My little bro went in for a partial bypass of one of his intestines to allow it time to recover, but they decided was that bad they could offer to remove it entirely if he was happy with a permanent rather than temp bag.

He went for it, never as he had a day where he can't leave the house since, he now has a social life and can go places with his friends again. Immense change just a shame the treatment at the time didn't seem to be worth the bible thin paper "instructions" inside his meds. He's med free now pretty much :)

It doesn't come up often mate but great to hear you've got it under control

High updates prices similarly got me to stop using mine and get a different GPS instead. Silly of them really, must have lost quite a few customers because of it.

Picked this up today from the local delivery office after paying my ripoff custom charge, yes, the shipping and the custom charge was more then 3/4 of the price of the T-Shirt itself, not the first time I paid so much.

Anyway, we have Takanashi Rikka from Chunibyo Demo Koi ga s/hitai! and the two straps are Nibutani Shinka and Tsuyuri Kumin.

Good stuff. :)

I think on NHS you only get free prescriptions if it is a life threatening condition, unemployment etc notwithstanding.

Would probably still be worth getting a pre payment prescription though. 12 months is think us something like £110. I get through about 30 prescriptions a year!

Yep. I need medication for a heart defect. Keep it in rhythm, widen the arteries round the heart, get rid of excess water and stop blood clots.

Needless to say, I don't have to pay a penny.

Nothing in that sentence was directed at you.

Ah~ You thinking of my Ro~Kyu~Bu T-Shirt but she's not six, she's around 11-12 and is fully clothed!

Maybe, got a pretty good one coming end of the month but it won't arrive till sometime early March. :)

While it isnt something I "get", frankly the replies and people losing their mind when you post something in this thread is pure gold to me.
