My bulk buy arrived just in time for tonight :D

A bit ambitious there lad :p

Anything's better than the stock HDD.

You can get a 750GB WD Black for around £55 and a 1TB SSHD for around £65, it's a no brainer to go for SSHD they are comparable in speed to each other and the SSHD will get faster over time caching game data:

It doesn't make sense to get a pure SSD considering the cost.

That's pretty-much why I went for it. Not expecting the gains to be particularly big on the PS3 but for the PS4 (when I get one) it should be better. Either way, it's more storage than I had and a bit quicker, all for £70.

I'm sure it's a great phone, but dat bezel . Must take up 1/3 of the phone! It's gonna look very old very fast when the frameless / thin bezel phones come out in the next few months.

Edit - just did the calculation, the bezel accounts for 34% of the total surface area of the front of the phone :(.

I'd rather have an "old" looking phone, than a frameless one that lasts a few weeks before it accidentally lands on an edge and breaks the screen...

Me too. However,

1. That doesn't mean the bezel needs to be so ridiculously massive. I said '/ thin bezel', i.e. the choice is not just massive fat bezel or zero bezel.

2. Do you think manufacturers won't have thought of that and reinforced the edges somehow?

How are you finding it? My contract is up next month and got my eyes on this. Sick of carrying around a giant borderline tablet phone.

Well nothing so far has annoyed me but I have only had it since yesterday afternoon...I'm not a mobile geek so really not the best person to comment but it has been a good user experience so far. The rear camera and its features are excellent and the battery seems to be doing ok also.

I went for this as, like you said, I do not want a massive phone. It is the same size as my S2 and maybe weighs 33% more (about the same weight at the iphone 3gs) and is a few mm thinker.

The Z1 was on my short list as a couple of friend have it but it is just massive!
1 thing that is going to annoy me is the charging. I bite my nail and the charging point is hidden away under a flap. I have to use my guitar pick to undo it :o

But everything is very responsive and fast.

I've got one, sadly it's a buggy mess. 50% of the time backlight comes on but display fails to load of you just get a lot of randomly coloured lines across it. Chrome loves to crash on it too. They're the most major issues, lots of minor ones (need to have power save mode activated to get some of the alerts to work, even though they use more power!)

Just ordered the Smarties, Whips, Milkybar and Wonka bars. Caramacs had gone up to £23 and not bothered about jelly tots or pastilles. :D

This prices are pretty good, shame I'm not a massive fan of Nestle chocolate/sweets any more. Much prefer cookies these days.

if you drop that Xperia on concrete/outdoors, it will always end in tears, bezel or no bezel.

Get a case if your worried about dropping it :p
