...And the rest. Backups are a must, unless you want it to end in tears.

Hope you've got some kept offsite too!

BB7's (and BB5's) have been around years and are seriously good, better than most of the cheaper hydraulic brakes and definitely v brakes! Had a set myself and they were great brakes!

Cheap of any type of brake is bad. Out of favour now but the top end V-brakes used to be very good and easy to service.

Cheap hydronic disk are horrid. Cheap cable disks too just with less fluid squirting in your eye! :D

Technically it was rhetorical. Also one NAS isn't enough. Even 4 x 4 (16TB before loses due to RAID) is nit going to keep many copies of 13TB. That's before you address the issue of offsite backups.

Thankfully most people don't have 13TB of data to back up. Unfortunately a lot of people don't even backup the little data they do have.

Those people will cry when the unfortunate happens and there would be nothing they could do !

Anyway, foreign alcohol, chocolates and stuff.

Looks like a standard avid rotor to me..

Didn't fancy some hydros? You can get last years Deores dead cheap now, and they're superb. Got them on my 29er XC bike. :)

I got a full set of SLXs for ~£100 last year. Soooo much better than the juciy 3s and I lost fluid in the SLXs so not even fully working at the moment.

Can't imagine them being much better, the Deores are meant to be great for the price.

A new driver drill and a new SDS drill. HELL YEEEEEAHHHH!! :D £55 for Screwfix "own brand" SDS drill too, bargain! Can't wait to destroy things.

A few other toys too...

New TV. Last years Sony Bravia W905. 46 inch LED. Looks brilliant and great for gaming on the PS4. I got the last one in the shop, reduced to £899 with 5yr warranty. (yes, cable management is certainly needed!! :p )

2nd hand ONKYO HTX-22HDX 5.1 surround system. Can't justify buying the separates I really wanted as that will amount to nearly £1000 so went with this setup at a bargain £160.

And not really "bought", but rescued this week. Poor guy actually has a warm soft bed now :)

been fishing the match lake for years even when it was ceemex :)

It is a cycle wheel spoke.

Mind you I also get upset when posters post a picture and don't explain what their new toy is taking it for granted that everybody should know.

Don't get upset Mr Dimple:( i like it when someone puts something up and has us asking does it do that or this :)

Good bit of kit. I used the same one last year to go through some walls to put some holes for waste pipes in. Went through like butter.

They're a piece of piddle to bleed as well. :)

Annoyingly my new bike game with Elixir 7 trails, which while great brakes are a bit of a fiddle compared to how easy Shimano are.

Yeah so I've heard, just not got round to doing it yet.

Done some Elixir (juciy) 5s, and it was a right pita. Think that's whats putting me off :p
