Took 2 weeks leave from work to get my theory, mod 1 and mod 2 cracked then traded in my CBR125R for this Yamaha XJS6 Diversion F. Its not an R6 or CBR but perfect for me for the time being.

Arrived over the weekend. A China special LCR/ESR/resistor/transistor. Mainly purchased so I can get a quick test on electrolytic caps but will come in handy for other stuff too.

Also how much was your test/theory etc? I've wanted to get a bike for years but never followed it up.

MSRRP is £6,699 but I got it for £5,999 with first service thrown in and a smaller illegal number plate. Traded in my CBR125R so took £2,400 off the price of the bike so £3,600 all in for the new big bike.

Theory was about £31 I think, mod 1 test is £15.50 and mod 2 test is about £75.

Lesson wise I had about 5 x 3 hour blocks at £80 a pop so another £400 for the 15 hours but Ive been riding my little 125 for about 5 months so probably didnt need as much training to stay upright though my road sense really needed polished up.

Passed everything first time so no extra lessons or retest fees involved either thankfully
