had a set of these LED's for a few months now :) installed behind my desk, power comes from 12v power block.

only niggle is that the remote EATS batteries like nothing else lol.

here's a few pics, these are on max - 3050 model if I'm not mistaken, the more powerful 5050 model is 200+ lumen brighter.

I'd love to get some LEDs like that, but my current glasses lenses 'split' the colours up if I'm not looking at them directly which gets really distracting. I've got a pure white strip on the back of my PC monitor but coloured ones are no good.

5m 5050 RGB LED strip with power supply, remote and controller for £9.99 delivered.

Going to use it to backlight my TV and underlight my desk. Waiting for the cables so
I can split it to different lengths.

Have you got these connectors / wires yet? Is it the '10x connectors' you see on the listing? If so... How do they work? Haha or am I missing something obvious?

Gun was £370
Torch with switch around £70
Sling point £20
Silencer £35
Replica Troy sights £25
Replica Aimpoint £40
Grip £10
Internally the only upgrade is a tighbore barrel £50

£620 Plus then you need batterys etc.

It can be done a lot cheaper I have some M4 toy guns that were £220, I just wanted something a bit fancy with this one. Plus it's got the Heckler and Koch trades which you pay for and it's made by VFC which are amazing build quality externally.

the toys cost more than the real thing.
Yikes!.. just did a quick currency conversion and that is $1060 for which
substantially less I built the following AR-15
which has a genuine Aimpoint Pro optic on it.
The rifle with all magpul addons included I built for less than $600 and the aimpoint was $375
.

Unlike the US who gives out guns like candy, the UK only gives out Firearms Certificates to people who can justify having a weapon, home defense isn't a justification.

The best thing about airsoft is being able to have a game of what is essentially paintball with more exotic stuff you wouldn't normally be able to get your hands on.

Short of joining the army which I couldn't/can't do due to medical reasons there is no chance of me ever getting to hold or shoot an L85A2 but I can build an airsoft one for half of what I can get a deactivated A1 for.

You also can't do direct price comparisons as things are usually more expensive in the UK anyway, not that you couldn't get a real gun for less still but that aimpoint was $375 that would be £220 but if you actually wanted to buy one you'd be looking at about £350-400. I know Eotechs go for £350-500.

Lovely rifle by the way flynlr, I prefer that type of stock over any of Magpul options, incidentally also prefer the standard handguard. For looks that is I'll never be able to get one for myself.

Got fed up of tethering my PC to my TV, get bad screen tearing so decided to have a go at one of these NUC for XBMC.

Was going to get an import Amazon Fire TV for £130 but managed to get this for £125 all in, thats with Xbox One remote as well that works with the internal IR receiver, Intel has made a build of Android 4.4.2 kitkat available as well. Got a spare 120GB to bung in it, all my stuff lives on a NAS anyway.

Not strictly true. Pretty much anyone can get a shotgun license, it's the firearm (rifle) license that is vetted. Mind you, it's a bit difficult to go on a gun rampage with a shotgun license as your gun is not allowed a magazine.

Nike Lunar Control 2's

Not a bad way to spend the birthday money at my local American Golf.

£270 for a microwave?! What does it do that justifies that price? I thought microwaves were generally dirt cheap.

I'd also like to know this, I know the only 2 things that justify price increases are power and size. But that only goes so far D:
The Smart Multi-Sensor seem to of added an extra £100 to the price...

Serve Perfectly Cooked Dishes

Cook food with precision with the Smart Multi-Sensor, which reads a food’s surface temperature each second to determine whether cooking stages are completed, eliminating over-or under-cooked meals.
