I'm going to disagree with that, I think it's poor advertising. Can't stand photographers that overdo DoF, it would just make me think everything would be blurry if he shot my wedding or whatever. Mrk has it about right, Jacob Ellwood is rather over-doing it.

Ha! :D

It's obviously over done. Also, if my customers photos were all out of focus then I wouldn't have any customers ;)

How's this suit everyone? I used the exact same settings :p

I got my first pair of running shoes yesterday. Went for a run last night and I'm very pleased with them, although I wouldn't know any different. Now to improve my fitness...

Sorry, your image is much too clear. It should look like this:

:D

The best way?

Yeah much like computer PSUs the rails are shared. If you charge using 1 and 2 when charging 2 batteries they will charge slower. Charge using ports 1 and 3 and the charge times will be a bit faster.

By how much I don't know. I may be anal about stuff but I'm not that anal to sit there timing how fast a battery charges :p

Well I'm glad the pictures in here are back on track :p

Fair enough Robbie...well I'm not going to sit there and time it, providing it doesn't affect battery performance thats all I care about :)

I have seen the light.

Your photos always amaze me. I wish I could take decent pictures :( I got so frustrated with my NEX-7 it now just sits in a corner silently mocking me.

Actually on that note, anyone know where would be best to sell something like that? Pretty much brand new, I have an additional 18-200 lens and an awesome Think Tank (retrospective??) canvas bag for it.

Hmm... although if I sell it I may end up getting the mkII I originally intended to buy before I was seduced by the sexy, yet annoying sony. Why the hell should I need to hold a button down to manually focus?! Surely a simple toggle would have been much better!! Grr!!

They're highly regarded batteries and the charger isn't far off either so should be fine :p Mine have been for over a year!

Holding a button down to focus is normal though! you depress to focus, fully press to take the shot :p

And thanks!

Ah OK, I doubt any serious photographer would want to buy an NEX-7 though.

Haha nah it's not the shutter button you have to hold, there's an AF/MF button which you have to hold down in order to focus manually and then press the shutter button all without releasing the MF button!!

However, I have just googled and apparently you can switch it to DMF in the menu which then allows toggle or something like that!! I'm such an r-tard!! I'm sure when I first bought it I couldn't find a way, perhaps it's with a later firmware or something.

They don't have to be serious. Plenty people buy such cameras as everyday walkabouts or something to keep in a bag or somewhere nearby instead of lugging around a big dslr :)
