As a not-very-longtime autocad user the potential of not having a command line scares me! it's the quickest way to do most things!!

Not had much chance to try them out but so far so good. The 28mm is very compact and will be my go to lens when I want to travel light.

No command line in Revit, but there are still keyboard commands/shortcuts.

I've found it to be a very powerful/infuriating piece of software! Saying that I had 15 months away from AutoCAD then jumped straight into Revit and it was a breeze

Yep I'm on Revit MEP 2013 for a couple of jobs. Its a complete mindfudge coming from AutoCAD 2012. Its ass backwards but at the same time somewhat intuitive if that makes any sense. I really need to go on a course for it though to figure it out fully.

Hope your computer is a beast, its terribly hungry software I've found.

I pre-ordered it of the Plaid Hat website. I don't think it will be available in the UK for a month or so as I think they have sold the last of their stock as GenCon.

I've got that helmet, in grey and white. It's seriously good having a built in sun visor that retracts with the press of a button. Pinlock, breath deflector, bug stopper, two adjustable vents, and pretty darn comfy. I'm well impressed.

You get used to it!!...

Long Time AutoCAD used (22 years) now using also Inventor (for 2 years) with no Command Line or Cursor either!!

Plus you just reminded me I needed to download and install this for work!!..

and I'm new to Revit... So a learning curve at 40

Don't worry - Revit isn't half as scary or complicated as many people make out.

It has huge potential and can be put to incredible use, notably when working in collaboration with other disciplines, but all time invested in training pays off with dividends when it comes to revisions and especially tender issue

I learnt the basics through a course and some self-taught training, but truly the best way to progress is to get to grips on it with something real
