A: Oh yeah, so wants the GROOT.

B: Because Wine+Internet=unusual purchasing decisions

Why don't you buy a stand, it must be a pain carrying around a log all the time

The Titans have arrived!

Buy three cards, get zero Haribo :( I did get a good price on three though :)

Can finally get on with my project :D

Genuine question; I could also blow my cash on your haul above but then would be down a significant chunk of my house deposit.

1.Are you guys young free and single, living at home and splurging wedges of your salary on these items because you can?

2. Are you rich and doing very well for yourself?

3. Are your parents rich and you have a privileged background?

4. Or is it all financed by credit cards and dole money?

Nothing I was under the impression it couldn't overclock CPUs but I was wrong.

It's fine getting a H87 board that can't OC as well assuming you have a non-k chip.

Yeh the reason why I got that board and not Z97 was because I wanted a black/red theme. It does OC the CPU thankfully but it won't be as much because of the volts the mobo supports which is good enough for me :P

Not everyone here is 18 years old :p option 2 is probably the answer for the OP ;)

You missed:

5. Are you financed by ill-gotten gains?

You'll just have to guess my category. :p

Bit of everything. No kids or mortgage and run a pretty successful business that I started with the help of my dad.

Very easy to justify buying a few grands worth of PC kit for business use :)

Only thing I have on finance is my car, but I paid a big chunk of that off already.

One Titan X can do 4K. With so many console ports I'm not sure I'd bother...unless you want some badass CUDA processing power.

Also, futureproofing. VRAM is being utilised more and more these days so there will be a point where the titan x Vram will be fully utilised by something.

And there will always be people who want the latest and greatest, this applies to everything. Take a look in the vaping thread for example. Some of the people in there spend more than smoking normally because they treat buying new parts, or the best parts a hobby.

But these people, make it much easier for the prices to come down due to demand :)

Outside of dedicated cyclocross racing I struggle to see the point of a cyclocross bike. Surely a lightweight XC bike is the better bet offroad?

Still a nice looking bike, my wife loves her new Cannondale hybrid.

Don't see why someone would buy something not necessary now with the thought that it may be needed in the future. In the future that something probably won't cost as much as it does now.
