I've finally bought a dashcam. The E-Prance Mini 0805. A 32GB card accompanies it.

And some night-time reading:

Next book after this is likely going to be the VII history of photography. Had a skim in Waterstones and it contains some eye popping inspiration.

Had 30 metres of Van Damme blue 2.5 delivered today, for got to take a pic. Got it installed sound is so much better then my cambridge audio cables i had

You do see a difference, the Cambridge audio cable was £2 a metre so it wasnt the cheap crap either but the sound is so much crisper especially with the surround speakers

Nice, Got one of the E-PRANCE® A434 in my car, works really well although I had to replace mine as the power socket decided to stop working :( (could be because I pulled it to one side tho!)

It seemed to get good reviews for the price... Took it out last night and it looked massive! Looking forward to trying it out properly next month.

As for new purchases... Car mats!

Nice, but how are you going to route the power cable to your standards

I have a method, only plugged in when I want it to record and cable tucked under the windscreen and dash with a little holster by the side of the dash for when it's not plugged in

In time I will fashion a hard line with an in-line on/off switch placed below the steering column I guess. A little project of sorts.

I've heard the contacts on the unit wear out if removed from the base a lot, I'll just be taking the SD card out though, so no problem. if anything it will deter opportunist thieves if they do spot it by the rear view mirror, it could be on (E46 does keep power to the 12v when the car is locked up after all).
