8 too many then. Do people not use the in-line search feature of Windows? Windows key > "Wolf..." and blammo! Wolfenstein.

The only suitable use for the desktop is for files you're temporarily working on or moving around. Not app shortcuts. That is what pinned taskbar items and start/metro search is for :p

I have 4 icons pinned to my taskbar at work....FOUR

I have 11, but they're almost all open at all times.

Win + S for anything else though

A few beers...

(Normally i'm really fussy with shoes and trainers, but i saw these and i had to have them. Only £70 too from an outlet store.

Tasty weapons! Who were they used by?

Thank you, sir - the collection grows. Top is a US Army M5 for the famous M1 Garand battle rifle (I think this might be a reproduction, actually).

Middle is a Yugoslavian M1948 bayonet, made at the Red Flag Works, for their 8mm Mauser rifle.

At the bottom is a lovely Czech VZ-24. Many of these were pressed into service by the German Army after they invaded Czechoslovakia during the Second World War. This one was issued to the Czech Army (possibly bicycle troops!) at some point as it has been marked with a certain stamp and it dates to 1946. I think it was made by BRNO (the factory that put the 'BR' in 'Bren' gun (the 'EN' comes from 'Enfield'). :)

WTF

I honestly thought I would never see a desktop with more icons than my 80 year old Dad's desktop.
But he only got 149 icons (shortcuts) on his desktop in that picture......
He got loads of space left to fill up with more icons....:p

:D...It looks like he may even have enough space to be able to fit a 1000 icons....:D

You may well never read this, but could you clarify how it's possible to put these perfectly cylindrical and symettrical earplugs in backwards :D
:D

One end side of the plug is coated in a harder plastic than the rest of the plug in the versions I've used.

I also have problems with ELC toys, 5 months to 3 years.
