My new mouse : Logitech MX Master - it feels delicious :)

I've only used it for content consumption so far. I'm sure it would handle office docs without a hitch, but forget about cad software. What do you intend to do with it?

If your uni lecturers put their classes online before the lesson then you can use edge to annotate the web pages with extra notes.

The keyboard can need mashed on occasion, and it the #1 key is offset to the right by 1 key which throws me when inputting data. If the tablet is not in the dock at the right position then it doesn't register the kb.

Like I said, great for 150 but wouldn't pay more.

Did you spoiler because the packaging looks better than the product?

I think you quoted the wrong person. :D

I'm a CS student so it'd mostly be used for lecture slides + dev environments.

The back and forward buttons look awkward compared to those on the performance mx.
they are worse than the previous. Back is okay, forward is a pain. Also the thumbwheel hardly ever kicks in properly - the same old issue there has always been which I think is software (OS or browser) based rather than hardware. Regardless, its inconsistency renders it useless for me.

what does one do with something like this? is it a way of watching things like netflix and other tv stuff? or is there more to it than just that? please pardon my ignorance lol. looks useful
Yep, it's ideal for Netflix and streaming media, also plays stuff from hard drives, usb sticks etc. I've installed moviehd on it and works flawlessly. Kodi is also installed and is an awesome bit of software. Add things like iplayer and YouTube and you have a media center.

Also as it's Android you have all your favorite apps available.

Following on from this brooch which I bought for my mum's birthday (made by her brother, Ernest Blyth, in the 1960's):

I have now bought a pair of vintage hallmarked silver cufflinks also made by my uncle in 1967. I intend to wear them to his favourite wine bar one day soon (L'Artiste Muscle next to his old studio in Shepherd Market, London). They are also a nice heirloom to leave to my son. So they should remain in the family for some time to come. I do already have a pair of his gold cufflinks (solid gold - really heavy) but they were left to me so I've owned those for years although never worn them. It's nice to own such old family items, particularly as they are still modern enought to wear.
