I dread to think how much the KEF ones would cost for a 5.1 setup

Yup... quite easy to spend that kind of money... one of the surround sets I'm craving is about £5k for the 5.1 speakers, so not quite that hefty, but not cheap either.
Something warm and not too clinical... Yamaha would be a good match for these, Denon/Marantz perhaps.

I had a pair of iQ7s for years, but managed to break the tweeter in one by knocking it over and Kef aren't very forthcoming with spare parts...
The new surround kit I want is this:

I thought it was £5k... seems it's actually £7k... the subwoofer is a little over 2/3 of my height and nearly as heavy as me...

I've never felt the urge to buy an action figure before... I guess now that I've hit 40 I've started some sort of mid life crises! Still, 18 inches of new fangled stormtrooper for £12 seemed reasonable.
