When TVs and telly boxes come with all those apps but does anyone actually use them beyond the usual iPlayer & Netflix?

I've never used the app on my TV, I have it all on other devices like Amazon Fire, purely because I haven't wired the TV's sound back to the amp for 5.1.

I don't think my TV is even tuned into any channel, it's just a giant monitor for other devices like Sky box, Xbox etc

I watch plex, TED, tech crunch, games radar.

I'm sure if you combined all of us together we'd have full usage of the apps, but I doubt anyone uses them all. The most useless (imo) are facebook and twitter style ones, unless you're a lurker.

I love the plex app on my H6400, using plex via chromecast never seems to work as well, often has to buffer. H6400 is on wifi, not hard wired, so can only presume the Samsung Plex app is better optimized than the android one

New phone to replace the S6 I lost the other week. Should probably think about getting a contract + insurance as all of these PAYG phones are costing me a fortune. :(

Record to replace the one I cracked, and I thought I might as well add the cassette to the collection whilst I'm at it.

It doesn't come with all those apps though. It comes with the eManual and a web browser, and that's it. You can download and install however many you want or, like me, none at all.

The amazon app I think gives free copies of the walking dead series. I had never seen the first ones so that was nice to have on a modern TV just queued up waiting to be watched.

Some of them could be useful, theres a youtube one on there but I hate typing in letters to search

I use Plex, netflix and Amazon Instant Video, occasionally YouTube and Google Play Music, and I've rented a movie or two via Google Play Movies. Never bother with the terrestrial catch-up apps really, they suck. iPlayer is a slow clunky mess and 4OD has ads so I'd rather download anything I've missed via Sky.
