Have also booked to go to Orlando and do the Disney thing at the end of August later this year. :)

I went to Orlando the last week of August and first week of September, was nice and warm with the occasional 1 hour rain in the afternoon then cleared up.

There were virtually no queues at Disney got straight on everything apart from a long line for Test Track and the toy story shooting one.

New sound stuffs.

Ohh very nice what's the soundlink mini like?

A lot smaller seeing it in person, smaller than I remember, but very weighty, feels like a quality build. Its sound is BIG, the weight helps it for all the lower more bass stuff. Just a really nice piece of kit over all.

I mean for scale,

The Theme Parks will be absolutely rammed during August, and the heat is going to be unbearable for large parts of the day. Good luck :p

Thanks! I think the Americans are actually back to school a lot earlier than the so I think the last week of August might just be bearable. :o

So funny how opinion is so divided on Bose

Not really... I think most of your average users like it.

Some things are a bit overpriced...

The design behind their clock/cd/radios is based on horn speakers and that's how they appear to be larger speakers / better quality that you think you could get in that size package.

I think they're a bit overpriced... but in their market segment, they are about the best you can get, for the price.

Audiophiles tend not to like Bose too much as they seem to add a bit of processing to the sound they put out, which can make things sound overly warm or not quite accurate...

I have a soundlink 3, the larger version of above and I think it's brilliant.

Easy to carry around, the battery lasts 10-14 hours and the sound is loud enough to annoy the neighbours when the houses are quite far apart... it's worked well for the garden during summer and my office at work to have something portable.

I also have the on-ear noise cancelling headphones for planes and other noisy travel... I have some decent closed AKGs too, but find the noise cancelling to be a big plus.

My wife wanted the in ear ones, I wanted the over ear but I have to say within about 30 minutes I had broken the wire on mine, it is REALLY badly made, flimsy and cheap. I couldn't be arsed with taking them back, so just bought a better cable off Amazon which is built like you'd hope. For me they sound average, but their noise canceling is still the best.
