I forgot I've just had this book Easyrider.
It's all his guitars, not just basses.

Nice! :D

That's the one that came out with the S6 range. The standing one that will come out with the S7 is the same, just standing. That's due to arrive when in stock.

So that one you got there will charge the s7 just as quick as the standing version? I'm looking for a wireless charger but the one on the Samsung website is £80 isn't it? Or £40 for one picture above.

Hmm I did some further research onto this matter and here's what I found.

The Fast Charge pad above outputs 7w which charges 1.4x faster than the standard wireless charging pad. The S6/S6 Edge and Note 5 support this and will charge from dead to full in around 2hrs 20 minutes. The S6/S6 Edge and Note 5 support the Qi 5w charging standard.

The S7 and S7 Edge support the new 15w charging standard which is as fast as wired fast charging, but out of the box both the Samsung fast wireless charging stand and base do not output 15w, only 7w when used with the standard Samsung mains USB plug.

But... Both Samsung base and stand fast wireless chargers utilise a hybrid fast charging mode when used with a QuickCharge 2.0 mains USB adapter (9v/1.67A) such as the Aukey/Anker QC2.0 plugs and this supposedly ups the wireless charging wattage.

So if you want to charge faster than the standard fast charging over wireless on an S7, then you will also need to use a QC2.0 plug to power your Samsung wireless fast charging base. I believe the mains USB charger that ships with the S7/S7 Edge is QC2.0 compliant, which probably explains why Samsung say the S7 wirelessly charges faster than the S6, even though the fast charge pad has the same base spec.

At least that's what I've interpreted from articles online... Will put it to the test soon.

Or just buy a dedicated 15w wireless fast charger.
