Essentially the date on the back of the watch is the date of the Apollo 11 moonwalk... and my birthday. The famous "The eagle has landed" phrase is what I texted to people when each of my children were born.

How much if you don't mind me asking? My dad has the same watch and wears it daily so his is a bit scuffed but he just asked me to see what they are on the market for at the moment!

EUR 3300. Boxed with papers and spare bracelet links. The watch is allegedly very very good condition although I haven't seen it for real yet (described as grade 1/ near mint but I doubt it is quite mint). That price includes warranty with the dealer in Italy and insured delivery to the UK.

It's a 1999 Speedmaster Apollo 11 30th Anniversary edition. So if his watch is the standard watch or a different edition then the price may be slightly higher or lower.

Standard speedies in the UK seem to vary from £1600 to £2800 from my recent observation. I have recently seen other Apollo 11 30th advertised from £2200 upwards.
