Having owned a Phat PS3, the best thing to do with them when they start getting loud, is to replace the thermal paste; I used MX4. It is really quiet and will be 6 years old this year.![]()

Was looking into that but it scares me haha. I've built about 15 or so computers in the last few years and having watched a disassembly video on YouTube, it looks like there's a lot that could go wrong and i've got the 60GB Phat that plays PS2 games too.
- 10 litres of Dulux White Mist
- 5 litres of Dulux Pure Brilliant White silk emulsion
- 8 white downlights from Screwfix
- 8 dimmable LEDs from LED Hut
- Out of shot - lots of cable, junction boxes, and a 2 gang Varilight V-Pro dimmer switch
