It's a newly released product labelled as "professional grade" - So there's that mark-up as standard.
Aside from that, it has the most advanced sensor around with wireless performance as good as 1:1 to wired. Perhaps that's worth the price alone to some. I just like how funky it looks and how accurate it is.

I personally think Wood looks so tacky and crap in cars; I prefer Aluminium trim personally
I do agree with a lot of plastic nowadays thoughSnap! But why the snail mail copy when you still have to download 50GB upon installation though? Cheaper and easier to get a STEAM key surely
