Imagine if your rush hour commute was like this....

If thats the one mentioned in the Ricky Gervais poscasts, then it was the Chinese they were talking about, due to the long journeys that workers from rural areas have to make, because of the widespread populace..

But...but...god I can't imagine just comfortably soiling yourself whilst reading the paper on a train. Do they walk around like it all day? take spare nappys to work? can't they hold it for god sake!

I'm not claustrophic in the least but I would not be keen on that, admittedly because I'm not short I'd probably be above most of it I'd still not want to be as jammed in as that.

treating ppl like cattle yay... gross abuse of human rights imo.. Japan as well.. quite surprising... this sort of conditions in China yeah i can understand but Japan?

Make sure you stand between two pretty girls
Lmao indeed :D.

Thats insane. they are cramming them in like you would put your clothes into a suitcase.

i cant believe people actually do that.. how mental!

They do it so trains get to place on time, also on rtlnews here recently ( so taken with a bit of salt) they said that in Moscow in the subway they are doing the same now and it seems to be working.

Afaik it's quite normal, the people themselves push too, they aren't forced to take the train but they do, every day, I'd think that if they'd be annoyed by it they'd just pick a car... Getting to work on time and making sure trains ride on time is very important there...

I'm looking forward to hitting shinjuku station in about 2 weeks time.

Crazy ass rush hour, will be fun to watch and gawp at the squashy squashy.
Dont worry. I was in Tokyo for 2 weeks, often traveling at rush hour, and never ever saw anything like that, even at the busy stations.

The cat vs printer video on the same link is quite amusing. :p.

Somebody would be getting a buncha fives if they tried to push me on a train like that (obviously only until I could get my keyboard out and whack 'em with that).

Any other website with it on? MSN doesn't like Safari on Mac. :(

Works fine over here.
