Its 1996/97 or whatever. Internet is not mainstream or common at all.
FOr me I was a kid so as an adult cant compare, always had it.
Uni, research, study, shopping, socialising, gaming,...etc..
No internet, would be sad.
I think people got a lot more done.
Much simpler times.
Nah, people would just have read the paper at work instead.

GET OFF MY LAWN.
People would go out more.![]()
I remember nagging my dad for a dial up modem in the mid 90s so I could play Quake on dial up and download topless pics of Jayne Middlemiss.

You can get off my lawn, too![]()
Old before my time
30 next year, mind you.
I am glad that i grew up when i did. When i was young there was no internet, i grew up in south africa, we didn't even have a satellite tv until i was 14. Even then we only had it for a year.
I used to go out side and play cricket and football.I used to play in the gutter in the street with cars and stuff.
I was lucky enough to play with 8bit gaming consoles with 1001 in 1 cartridge with 100 variations of the same game. 16bit mega drive come on the scene it changed everything. But i was not rich enough to afford one, then the playstation 1. Still not rich enough. Then i went on my first pc at my friends house and then i got my own p133mhz and a year later i got my first 33.6k modem and dialup. The was the beginning of the end of the end of the beginning im not sure...
