Anyone recommend some drive imaging software. Specifically I am looking for something that will take an image of XP pro, crush it down, and stick it onto a bootable dvd than can be used as a restore disk.

Cheers,

Richie.

Acronis True Image 10, this will take a Backup image, compress it, so you can store the actual image elsewhere (another part/HDD, or burn to DVD), ATI 10 also lets you make a bootable CD, to run in DOS, so you can run the actual program to restore Backup image on another partition/HDD. :)

Cheers for the info. I used Acronis. I created a backup of a fresh nvidia raid striped array, wrote it onto a dvd. Created a boot cd with acronis. Then recovered the backup onto an nvidia array, but this time a mirror. Used the resize partition options. Damn impressive.

This software is sweet I have to say. Takes like 12 mins or so to restore an xp install + drivers + few oc'ing utils. Saves a load of hasstle.
