I'm looking for a program that I can simply boot from a floppy or USB stick or CDROM that will totally image a vista64 partision to another drive hence if I then ever want to recover my disk opposed to installing a fresh OS, all applications, patches and drivers I simply boot from the cdrom,floppy or usbstick and tell it to copy the image I backed up to my boot drive.
I have 2 questions
(1) does something like this exist that will image a vista64 partison and has anyone actually tried it with vista 64.?
(2) does the destination drive that I would be imaging to have to be exactly the same size as the source hard drive or would having enough space to create the imaged partision be sufficient. i.e can I back up an image from a 300GB drive to a 600GB drive.?
