IMAP accees from 2 machines at the same time

i have set up IMAP many times, but never tried to set up 2 machiens to access the same mail box at the same time - does anyone do this, does work ?

(i know pop would only have an issue if both machines tried to connect at the same time, in which case one would be deneid access, however I dont know what imap does if this happens)

this is what IMAP is designed for. All your email stays on the server so it is far more convenient. I have probably 8 devices all checking the same account.

Works fine - I periodically have 3-4 devices on my work mail at once (work PC, home laptop, work mobile, home mobile).
