Work at Height Regulations 2005. The Regulations apply to all work at height where there is a risk of a fall liable to cause personal injury.

This came into being on 1st April last year.I've seen the checklist of do's and don't,it is quite a big list.

As for Msn, why not use your mobile?
He is in Hospital, use of mobiles not allowed.

I guess it could have been a lot worse. Heres hoping you recover quickly and well :)

You made the right decision to break your legs than land on your back, it would have been a lot more serious otherwise.

You should make a nice sum of money out of this, and your legs will repair :D

could have been worse your lucky :)

suing over accidents tho

Really hate that advert on TV "i had to climb into the back of my lorry but work didnt provide me with a ladder so i climbed up slipped and fall hirting my knee"
How can he sue for being so stupid

*rant over*

Last time my Mum was in, no one in the ward stuck to that rule.
Some Hospitals do have different rules, certainly in the Hospital I work at they are very strict on it. You also get shamed when you walk into the hospital if you still have your mobile on (well most of the time - sometimes it doesn't work). There are posters up about it interefering with medical equipment - which I view with scepticism for the majority of the Hospital. However, it's as much about consideration for the rest of the patients.

Look on the bright side, you won't need any new shoes for a few months, although some new pants might be in order after that fall. :D

Best of luck with your recovery.

Unlucky mate :(

My dad's employee recently fell of scafholding and smashed his ribs on the bars on the floor below. If he hadn't of done that, he would have fell to his death for sure.

Dodgy working at heights!
