It's a thick plot and thickening, quite an interesting read I think!

Synopsis: guy goes into a store to buy a car stereo. Guy finds it's not up to scratch, guy goes for refund, guy gets refused refund and posts a complaint on a forum. Guy then magically gets refund in cash, store denies any knowledge of the entire transaction.

Latest is they're trying to decide whether or not the receipt the guy posted is a photoshop or not (page 9)!! So all you PS experts get on there and have a look!

Juicy stuff.

I see no plot.. he got his refund in cash.

Pretty sad if he took the time to photoshop his own receipt?

That would have to be one amazing photoshop. Should put up a better photo/scan of the reciept though.

edit: Guru's post is good though. The letters are clearly identical. Whether that means it is photoshopped its hard to tell.

Ok anticonscience I take it you read the thread then? Maybe however 'immense' was a bit strong and I should have said - I think it raises some interesting issues and I'm certainly looking forward to finding out who was telling porkies! If you have time read the thread as it's quite interesting.

Have to agree, definitely looks like a shop. The letters in ALPINE do indeed appear to be copied from the other letters, and then blurred.

I've seen a lot of shops in my time. I can tell by the pixels, and the shadows are all off.

Amazing photoshop? half the guys on here could do that in 10mins mate!

Well I assumed that the creases and static noise and such would make it difficult. Also if letters are identical, it could just be the machine.

I bet the manager of the shop has been selling his own second hand stuff in the shop and giving his own recipts ;)

Will be intrested to see what happens tho

Hmmm just been reading it and much lolage but now been closed lol...someones lying but they cant figure out who lol

yep that is definetely shopped, no scanner would produce identical pixel shapes on 3 letters.

For instance.
(He has used the word pin to make half of alpine).
The P has an identical darker patch in the centre of the P, the N has a blob to the left hand side of it, and in the centre of it which is identical, and the I is part of that. I could cut the 2 out and prove it if people don't see it.
