Immortals of Aveum system reqs released. 2080 Super for low lmao

Yeah, luckily this game isnt for me, i dont think i would like it from the gameplay trailers, i guess all the particle effects are a big hit on the gpu, but i think its also coming to consoles so not sure why pc specs are so high.

3080ti for medium/high @1440p is insane lol surely it could be optimized better

It will run on much worse hardware, just not at 60fps.

But Unreal 5 games will generally increase the ceiling. Those games that will really push it will probably be restricted to 30fps on consoles, so getting stable 60 on PC will require serious hardware.

I think we can probably use Fortnite as a baseline for how it will run since that game uses UE5's Nanite/Lumen parts surely, so if that runs well then surely this should to?

Fortnite has very simplistic geometry and no AI to contend with. Just because games use same engine and some of its components does not mean they should perform the same or even similarly..

It still needs beefy specs to run well though it seems.

DF's video today mentions this game and Alex is aligned with the specs being reasonable, and now looking at it from that perspective, it makes sense. It just seems unreal that we are now seeing a 2080 Super listed as the minimum req for low/medium settings at 1080P, a resolution that is typically CPU limited, yet the CPU req at this level is listed as a 9700K and not something more powerful. This highlights the GPU bound nature of UE5.1 even at 1080P.

I wonder how my 3080 Ti will fair. Will only personally find out if the game turns out to be good. So far it looks to be all about graphics than anything else.

If these requirements are accurate, then I should probably brace myself for ARK:SA to be an absolute killer! (UE5 remaster of a game that's already horribly optimised on UE4 :D )

That said though, interesting that the AMD GPU recommendation is 5700xt/6800xt, compared to 2080S/3080ti

edit: Ok, 3080ti and 6800xt are closer than I thought based on launch benchmarks.....nV marketing dept obviously did a number on me!

Anyone playing this yet?

Just loaded it up on my gaming laptop (which has a 3080Ti) and performance is a mess. I cannot choose the correct resolution for my monitor, on fullscreen it appears to be locked at 720, windows I can choose lots of resolutions but 1440p isn't there. The recommended setting has everything on Low and even then it's not running very well :(

runs fine for me - get occasional stutter at 4k/120 with a 12900k/4090.

im running everything on max with frame generation on .

Well my laptop isn't that spec lol but it's good pretty decent spec and this is running terrible.

There must be something that's causing the resolution options to be all messed up, I just tried again and Fullscreen amd Borderless Windowed is locked at 1280x720..Windowed I have more options but not the right ones!
